UPPER AUSTRIAN NATURE
Schlossmuseum Linz, Südtrakt
In the “Upper Austrian Nature” exhibition the uniqueness of Upper Austria’s large landscapes, the dynamics of their creation and the diversity of their living organisms are presented. The staging uses authentic objects from nature, models, large dioramas, interactive media and living animals in aquariums – arranged didactically in line with the current state of scientific knowledge. There are sensational innovations to discover, while what is already known can be reclassified. After wandering through Upper Austrian habitats, visitors can immerse themselves in a special show of the diversity of Upper Austria’s plants and animals.
Visitors receive a generally comprehensible illustrated book “Upper Austrian Nature. Landscape. Plants. Animals”, to accompany the exhibition. It was created in cooperation with the Oberösterreichisches Landesmuseum and the nature conservation department of the Upper Austrian government.
